Scheduled Tasks

Scheduled Tasks automate recurring MSPControl operations such as reporting, synchronization, maintenance, notifications, certificate renewal, license updates, and device commands.

  • Identify the customer, organization, server, or system scope of the task.
  • Confirm that the corresponding MSPControl module or integration is configured.
  • Choose recipients that are authorized to receive reports or operational data.
  • Start with a conservative schedule and execution timeout.
  1. Open Scheduled Tasks. Navigate to the administration area that lists system scheduled tasks.
  2. Add a task. Select the required task type from the available list in your installation.
  3. Set its scope. Choose the customer, organization, server, device set, or global scope required by that task.
  4. Configure task-specific settings. Supply report recipients, thresholds, filters, credentials, or command parameters only where the selected task requires them.
  5. Configure the schedule. Set the start time, recurrence, and maximum execution time.
  6. Save and test. Use test mode when the task provides it. Otherwise, schedule a controlled first run and monitor the result.
