Hosting space SharePoint
A hosting space can have its own SharePoint surface, reached from the Web menu rather than from Organizations. It offers two screens: SharePoint Sites and SharePoint Users.
Site collections belonging to the hosting space rather than to a hosted organization. This is the older, space-scoped arrangement — a customer with no hosted organization can still have SharePoint here.
The users with access to those sites, managed at space level.
Which surface should a customer be on?
Section titled “Which surface should a customer be on?”Where an organization exists, the organization-level SharePoint is generally the right place — it sits alongside their other organization services and follows the same access model. The space-level surface remains for spaces provisioned before organizations were used, and for customers who have SharePoint without one.
