Microsoft Teams
MSPControl manages Microsoft Teams in the customer’s Microsoft 365 tenant through two screens: Users and User Plans.
Why the Teams menu is missing
Section titled “Why the Teams menu is missing”Teams is gated more tightly than most menus. Four conditions must all hold:
- The hosting plan includes Microsoft Online Services.
- The organization has a configured tenant — both a tenant ID and a tenant application.
- At least one user holds a Teams licence. No licensed users, no menu, even with everything else in place.
- The tenant application is not read-only.
The licence condition is the second most common cause, and it is easy to misread: the menu appears once somebody is licensed, so an organization that has bought Teams but not yet assigned it looks identical to one that has not bought it.
Lists the organization’s Teams users and opens each for editing.
Because this reflects the Microsoft tenant, a user must exist and be licensed there before appearing. A user missing from this list is a licensing or provisioning question in Microsoft 365, not a fault in MSPControl.
User plans
Section titled “User plans”Assigns Teams plans to users. A plan determines the Teams capabilities a user gets.
