Azure backups

Two screens sit under Organizations > Backups for Azure: Azure Backup Report and Azure Backup Settings.

What makes them appear

Both are gated on a single quota — the Azure backup report quota in the organization’s hosting plan. Unlike Veeam, where reporting and settings are separately gated, Azure gives you both or neither.

Missing means the quota, not permissions

If neither screen is present, the hosting plan does not allocate the Azure backup report quota. Adding it makes both appear.

Report

Backup state for the organization’s Azure resources — what is protected, when it last ran, and what failed.

Reporting is not protection

This reports on backups Azure is configured to take. A resource nobody has configured for backup shows nothing here rather than showing a failure, so an empty report is ambiguous: it can mean “all healthy” or “nothing is being backed up”.

Confirm what is supposed to be protected before reading a clean report as good news.
